Celebrated 40 days after Easter Sunday, the Feast of the Ascension is a principal feast in the Episcopal Church and commemorates Jesus' body ascension into heaven following his resurrection. This celebration follows several weeks of Eastertide in which we read about Jesus' various appearances following the resurrection, and is the true culmination of his earthly ministry.

We will be celebrating the feast on its eve, using an Order of Worship for the Evening and Evening Prayer, Rite II.
